Dreams Are A Doorway To The Soul

Dream Symbol: People

Dream Symbol: People

Exploring The “People” Dream Symbol

The people in your dreams are the parts of yourself that you dislike, don’t understand, admire, or that you are trying to change. The most important part to explore is your relationship with the person. Do they make you feel self-conscious, do they make you nervous, do they uplift you? Try giving the dream character a name (ex. the mean old witch lady or the overprotective grandmother). See if naming the dream character gives you any insight into what role of yours the dream character is exploring.

Ask yourself the following questions?

If I had 3 words to describe the person’s personality what would they be?

Does the character remind you of anyone from your waking life?

What does the character do for a living? Does their job relate to your waking life?

Does the character have any physical features that stand out?

What is the character’s persona (ex. knight and shining armor or the temptress)?

Are you fearful of the dream character?

Is the dream character unknown?

Does the dream character have any beneficial characteristics?

Does the dream character have any negative characteristics?

The most important thing to remember when decoding any dream symbol is how you feel about that symbol. Take a few moments to describe the person’s personality and how you feel about them. Have you been acting like that person lately? Have you taken on the persona of your dream character? Is your dream character exploring a role that you practice in real life (ex. wife, mother, father, breadwinner, critical person, over-thinker, overachiever)?

Keywords: persona, personality traits, their role in your life, their status, their job, their physical characteristics, parts of yourself, I am that, parts of your psyche, your thoughts about the dream character, their role in life, their place in life, negative traits, positive traits, the child in you, the mother in you, the father in you, the boss part of yourself, roles that relate to your waking role
